Tutorial 03 - Setup Checkpoint for Time Trial Game


Hello there and welcome to the third part of the tutorial series that I share my experience briefing while working on Skulls and Wheels game. After completing the basic chaos drivable Dustbowler, I'm going to start working on the time trial game mode from this part onward. Prep work for the game mode will be done and a checkpoint will be created in this part.

Steps covered in Tutorial 03

  1. Merging Vehicle Template Sample Map as the gym map for testing Time Trial Game Mode
  2. Creating necessary Class Blueprint to begin with the Game Mode functionalities
  3. Complete Checkpoint Blueprint with
    1. Not allowing players to bypass or interact checkpoint from the wrong direction
    2. Allowing Checkpoint entering with flipping or rolling
